 This is where it all began, the first introduction to the C.A.L.M. Performance Programme.
Created from over 20 years of experience supporting young people and families, this programme is designed to help teens move from stress and overwhelm to confidence, motivation, and calm—so they can thrive in education and in life.

This isn't your typical therapy session.

 Most teenagers tell me nobody ever taught them how their brain actually works. Not why they freeze before exams. Not how stress affects memory  and what to do about it. That's what I do. I'm Marcia, 25 years working with teenagers across schools and colleges. Real tools, real science, zero waffle.

What C.A.L.M. stands for

C — Calm the nervous system

Understanding what stress actually does to the brain and body and how to switch it off before an exam. 

A — Adjust your thinking

Learning to spot the thought patterns that keep teenagers stuck, and how to shift them. Quickly. 

L — Learn how your brain learns

The science of memory, revision, and recall. Why cramming doesn't work, what does, and how to make every revision session actually count. 

M — Master Motivation and Momentum

Not a one-size-fits-all pep talk. A real understanding of what drives your teenager specifically, and how to use it. 

The options

The C.A.L.M. Intensive

One session. 90 minutes. Everything they need. Perfect if exams are close and you want results fast.

C.A.L.M. Intensive session (90 minutes)

£125

Covers the full four-part framework in one hit. Includes printed materials and workbook. Online or in person. 


The C.A.L.M. Programme

Four sessions. The full picture. Lasting change. Typically done weekly over four weeks but can be modified to meet your schedule, for example 2 sessions a week for 2 weeks.

Block of 4 sessions

£300

60 minutes each. Includes workbook and materials. Starts with a free initial consultation. Online or in person.

Common questions

 GCSE and A-level students aged 16 and over. If your child is younger and you'd like to discuss options, get in touch. 


Not in the traditional sense. It's psychoeducational, think of it as performance coaching backed by 25 years of clinical experience. It's not about diagnosing anything or processing deep trauma. 


Totally normal. Marcia is used to working with teenagers who didn't exactly volunteer for this. Most of them are surprised by how different it feels from what they expected. 


Yes. Everything stays between Marcia and your teenager, with the exception of safeguarding situations, which Marcia will explain clearly at the start of the first session. 


 Both are available. Online sessions are via secure video call and work just as well, often better for teenagers who feel more at ease at home. 


Many teenagers feel differently after just one session. Real change takes practice, but the tools are simple and they work. 


Exams are coming. Your teenager already has what it takes. Let's just make sure they know it.
